Good Morning!!

It is the first sip....aah!!!!

Good morning.  It is 5:59 AM the last of February with March winds waiting in the wings.....Until the blinds are fixed, I am facing a wall, so cannot tell you what the weather is like out there.    I could walk over and open the blinds and look out but I am heading in the other direction to fill my coffee cup and open the other eye.   I'll be back..don't go away!!

AAH!!!!  Coffee!!!  Coffee!!!!   I thought there was one more doughnut ..nope...somebody ate them all up!!!

It is hump day, wonder what is in store for us.    I could turn on the television but then I'd break the lovely silence...not quite ready for it ..yet!!

Quiet is good.  It is the break we give ourselves before the noise of today.

I didn't do anything, go anywhere, but did manage to wile away yesterday;  all day!!   I have a good book going.  I have a little piece of sewing art I am working on;  not very good at it, but the fun is in the trying.   I thought of painting but then I'd have to get all of the materials out and set up and that seemed like too much to do...lazy????  Not me!!!   Just didn't feel like being productive and that is okay, one cannot be 'doing' all of the time....lazy is good for the mind, probably not for the body...maybe a walk out today will take care of the neglect of yesterday.

So, today be good to YOU....be sure you give yourself a break.   Don't forget to be good to your neighbor, your friends, your family, maybe not in that order, but share YOU with those you love and like.    Kindness is a lovely word and a better deed so put it into practice today.   See what you can do to make your family and friends perk up just because you came into their sight.   Go....be YOU!!  Hugs to all.

Time for a refill....smile!!!

Mornin!!!!

Here are pictures from the ranch up in Nevada where son Michael spends his days.  Working on a ranch is not always easy work but the benefits are special as you can see.    I am hoping for a trip up to visit my son come summer and enjoy the Sierras once more.   It is God's country.

It is Tuesday morning.  It is still February...but...it is almost ready to give up and let the March winds blow ....thinking Easter, thinking Spring, thinking warm weather will come with warm and even hot sunshine days.   How we look forward to the change of seasons.   

No new or different news as I stayed indoors yesterday and went to a meeting where we had delicious cup cakes and shared time.    There is no set seating so you have a chance to visit one another and spend a little time sharing a few words.   We know, by sight, the different folks who live here within the walls but really more by sight than by actually spending quality time with them.   It is good to have a chance to visit and find the hidden friendliness within that person.   I learned this elderly gentleman had smiling eyes.  I learned he has a family he is  proud of and counts himself very lucky they want to share time with him.   He beamed with pride as he talked about his family.   Sometimes a listening ear is a blessing...smile.

So, I am off for a refill of my black coffee....hot and tasty....and I will turn on the TV and find out what has happened in our world while I was dreaming of being on an island of beauty and sunshine all alone...well, that is no fun.....ha,ha,.....

So....off for a refill.....I think there is one doughnut left ....not sure as I am pretty good about eating them all up.....toast isn't all bad with jelly on it.    Be alive, be a love, be good, be kind, be gentle, be YOU and celebrate each second of your day...all day.    Share YOU with those you love and like.    Share....a lovely word...a better deed...so go be someone to remember!!  Hug to all.

A New Monday

Good Morning.   A brand new Monday and it is 5:34 A.M. heading for the last week of February and soon the March winds will come and hopefully Spring is about to make its way....aah......warmth and sunshine to look forward to..I'm ready for a walk in the sunshine.  Below is a picture of a favorite walking path...Aah!!!

It was a quiet weekend, not a lot going on for me...and that is a good thing....some down time is always welcome and a little time out to read, work on the needlework and kick back watching television...cowboy movies...of course.

A new week of surprises coming up so I have something to look forward to.   A walk around the junk shop to find a treasure I just cannot live  without...but...I do have to be careful of size as I do not have a lot of empty space around here.   There really is nothing I want or need, but how can you resist a trinket you can always find room for. 

Make your new week a good one.  Be sure you do some one good deed before the week is out.   Someone needs a hug and YOU are just the one to share YOU with someone you love and like.    Be good, be kind...be YOU!!  Hugs to all.

Don't you agree?

I am looking at a wall instead of out my window this morning as my desk is moved in order for the blinds to be fixed, hopefully today.    I don't like this facing a blank wall, but then it really isn't all that blank as there are three pictures hanging on the wall.  But, it is disconcerting to say the least and throws my entire thought process out the door....I am going to wish you a day to remember.  I am going to hope you find places to go and things to do.   I am going for a refill, put on the news, put the feet up  on my hassock and do a lot of nothing for awhile.   I need a refill,  a new brain, a few good thoughts..all of YOU....and waking up would help....smile!!

So go and start your day.   I hope it is a really good one.   I wish you love, life and luck and moments you will remember for a long time to come.

Friday Morning

Good Friday morning, another weekend coming up to share with those you love and like.   I wonder what plans you have for today....I have none....yet!!!   It is early, just turned six a.m., and...I have been sitting here at the computer day dreaming as I look out a black scene out my window;  just a bit of light on the hospital wing but shades are drawn, the folks sleeping in...all but one and that is the early riser over there.   I stayed in yesterday so have no new news this morning.   The weather is still on the cold side although spring is supposedly here..but...what was that white stuff that stuck to the roofs....it sure was not sun beams...smile!!

It is now 6:04 AM..February 23, 2018....wow...time flies when you are not paying attention to it....a new day, no plans for today...yet....but there is plenty of time to make some.    I am going to give you a break and talk short this morning..smile.  I wonder if my girls are up and dressed yet....bet not...smile.....  I will have to skype them and see if there is any interest in breakfast out;  one never knows until asked..smile.  If you were here I'd invite you along. . . what fun it would be to share time with YOU....I'd like that.    I'd even let you buy the coffee...ha,ha....well I can be generous to a fault....

Have yourself a good day, all day...do something good, kind and different today.  Make your day special...just like you....I am off for a refill as my coffee cup is empty.  I'd choose something good if there was something good here but there is not.....toast without jelly has no appeal...smile.....there should be a delivery service for donuts...smile.

The Ride!!

Good Morning!!!   We did go for a ride yesterday, a wonderful long ride through country side, lakes, and a stop at the restaurant for  breakfast and the "awful-waffle" was delicious as many would attest. . .but. . . the hamburgers certainly  looked delicious, and seemed to be the choice of a few.    There was a little snow on the side of the road, it was cold out there, as the sun had not had a chance to shine yet.   The northwest scenery is amazingly beautiful as each bend of the road attests to.   Sandy, our driver, is a lovely lady with smiling eyes and a sweet disposition.  She is an excellent driver and has a wonderful sense of humor.  She is also very knowledgeable of the entire area so has a tale to tell as we ride along.  So we all enjoyed the sights and sounds , being out and about, enjoying a day away.   How lucky we are to be offered a day away.

So, today is catch up day....laudry...what else?   When are the experts coming up with those paper throw away clothing???  Isn't it about time?   ha.ha.   we would probably find fault with them and remain cloth happy for our lifetime....so, we spend time int he laundry room....or walk the halls a dozen times to make sure all is well...smile.  A way to get out exercise.

So....I am off to fill m my coffee cup;  cannot imagine where that first cup went...smile... I don't need a bigger cup as I don't like cold coffee;  the cup I have is fine, just I have to refill it as it is not automatic...smile.

A quiet day planned, unless, of course, I get an offer and if that happens you know I will be first one out the door.    I have not opened the blinds so have no idea what kind of weather is out there at six a.m.   ...think I'd better open the blinds and find out. 

I hope your day is a good one, all day.....I hope you find things to do that will make you happy and put a smile on your face.   Start off with a short prayer of thanksgiving for your new day;   remember a thank you or two for your good health, and remember to be good, be kind, be generous with the hugs as we all need at least a dozen a day.

Hump Day!!

Good Morning To YOU!!!!  Good morning to YOU!!!!    Pitch black out there in the parking area, not a car on the move in or out.  The sky is still, not a sign of a cloud and the tree tops are still so there is no wind....early morning....quiet time....soon the folks will be stirring and the workers will be coming into the parking lot getting all set for a brand new work day....hump day and the ending days of February.   Time to start thinking of March winds and marsh-mellow Easter bunnies.  But there is a ride out today and I have not made up my mind if I want to go our not.   I think I do, but am lazy...but, I'll give it some thought and make up my mind and if you are betting I'll go you are probably right as it beats sitting in  when there is a whole new day to share and see what is out in our world.    If you are looking out your early morning window, I hope you have the same colors in your skies.  We have some shades of lavender and purples this morning, a back drop to the tall evergreens swaying in the morning breeze, very light , but moving.  Folks are beginning to open the shades in the hospital windows and the new day begins.....hopefully one that is filled with love and laughter.

I hope you have a good day, all day, doing what you love to do best.    If you are not feeling up to par, then go back to bed and get a few more hours of sleep and heal.....if you are feeling 'tops' then call a friend and go out and partake of what today has to offer....lunch out...a ride.....a walk around the block...visit a neighbor you don't really care for until you make up your mind you will become best friends....you can do it.....go....be someone to love.  Hugs to all.
