I would like to walk along the ocean, smell that salt air, hear the roar of of the waves crashing onto shore and celebrate a new day.
Here at Ridgemont it is quiet, as it should be at this time of daybreak. The folks are sleeping although a few are up and out as they drive into the parking lot looking for their special spot. Most carry in their morning latte, move slowly across the parking lot knowing their day has started and it is time 'to open the other eye'. . . a time to wake up and get on with 'today'. My coffee is hot and so good, half way to a new cup already..smile. Well, I need to wake up and get on with my blog for today. What am I going to talk about this morning? We went for an outing yesterday. a bus trip and to the huge complex, which is the Navy complex, and visited the artifacts of Navel history; a collection that is and does call for praise and wonder as you wander the corridors and enjoy Naval history in awe and wonder. It was not our first visit and hopefully not our last. There is so much to see as Naval history comes alive. There is never enough time to see this historical collection as time passes much to quickly and you have not had the chance to complete your historical walk through time. It is fantastic and if you have not planned a tour of your local museum then think about making time and go. It is an awesome collection , shared with pride in our Naval history. I have been lucky enough to go there twice now and have yet to see all of the artifacts that bring Naval history alive. A twenty-one gun salute should be shot off each day to honor those who put this collection together for all to see. It is amazing.
We had lunch out and that is always fun as you get to choose what you like and want for your mid day meal. Some of the folks stick to breakfast food, but then we left early and some did not have a chance for a breakfast. It all looked good and smelled great, although I chose some hot soup and a half sandwich...delicious and no complaints.....what to complain about as you sit among friends and are served something hot and tasty. There is nothing to complain about!! I can hear you thinking...'bet she found something'...but I didn't...the food was hot, tasty and it was time to feed the body and enjoy someones cooking other than your own. A habit to cultivate. smile!!!
We had a good day, a nice visit to a museum, lots of exercise, stairs to climb, corridors to walk through and sights to see that bring history alive. Hopefully we will go there again as I didn't get to see half of what is there. The ride home, the shoes off, memories to enjoy and hopefully another trip before too long. So!!!! I am off for a refill , finish up my blog and get on with a work day as going off yesterday the laundry basket stayed filled and that will not do..so you know where to find me if you are looking for me this morning.....
I hope your day is special...just like YOU!!!! Be merry and bright, make someone smile just because you walked in the door. Share you with those you love and like. Be a beacon of light...shine!!! Hugs to all.
