Life is not the way it is supposed to be. It is the way it is. The way you cope with it is what makes the difference.

Friday Afternoon!!

There is a lone bird sitting on the roof of the hospital building which is across the road from me. It is storming right now, snow is 'raining' down and one of the workers is trying to take the ice of his window with his bare hands. He has gotten into his car and probably hopes the windshield wipers will do all the work for him. It is beautiful out there at this moment. Snow is falling heavily and there is a stillness, a quiet time, worker cars down to a few as the worker day ends. It seems to be raining but there is snow in the drops as they fall on the pavement and no time is lost for a quick turn of the window wipers and backing the car out of its spot and take off to head home after a long day of work. Right now it is really snowing, coming down as I am sure it means business. The bird is on the roof top and not moving, cars are still coming in, night crew, I bet. There are fewer cars on my side of the tarmac as it is time for a new shift to take over. A stormy ride home and hopefully a good dinner waiting with folks who love them. I have had a quiet day. I wish I could describe the falling snow as it bounces on the road and covers it with a white coating. It is so beautiful. The flakes are huge as they build on a parked car, right in front of my window, The roof is already covered. The windows are covered ...a lovely scene...a winter's view ...so beautiful....bet it would be fun to walk in. The birds are flitting around, probably looking for a covered spot. One big bird is on the roof top not seeming to mind the storm at all. I am fascinated with one small round bush which does not hold any snow at all on it. The others around it are covered but this one small bush just seems to defy nature and stays bare of snow....wonder how that can be as it is out in the open...strange, but nature has its secrets. There is a huge white McKesson truck out there, have no idea what they carry but it must have to do with hospital supplies as it comes several times a week to the hospital building. In the short time I've been talking with you, the snow has covered the entire hospital roof, the huge trees behind are pure white and the bushes in front of the building are wearing snow caps. Winter has a lot to offer the eye. So it is Friday, going into early evening, almost dinner time and I am going out to the kitchen and see what I can find. I'm hungry...and 'there is nothing good in this house" ha.ha. where have you heard that before??? Not here!!! Ha...ha. I hope you find your way to a lovely table filled with food you love, folks you love and enjoy your dinner. Stay warm and cozy, enjoy 'looking' at the snow as it falls so gently to earth. As the snow falls with huge flakes it really is the sound of silence. Go. Have a good rest of your day. Hugs to all.
