Some pictures bring to mind sweet times, good times, time stood still for a very short time when you spent it with someone you loved. This picture brings to mind my daughter Eileen who has gone on before us to clear the pathway for us to follow. Driving up the highway to Auburn to spend the day with Eileen was a highlight in my life. She was always ready to share herself with family and friends, sharing and caring and making a day bright and beautiful.
Today, the sky is a pewter blue, trees standing still, not a bit of a breeze and the worker cars are parked on 'my' side of the street, right under my window, all sizes and shapes, one light grey, four on the dark side, either black or blue in shade. The workers are in doing what they do best and the blinds are up in the hospital wing windows It is silent right this minute, nothing moving, no noise of any kind. My coffee cup is empty....so...off to fill it, put on the television for news and find out what has gone on in our world since I shut it off last evening. A time to wake up slowly, sip hot coffee, watch the news and get started on a new day. So.....get up, get going...fill that cup with your favorite beverage and put a smile on your face...a new day...hopefully a 'banner' day; one for the books, as they say!!! AND...the bird is on the roof top sitting silently. I hope your day is a good one, filled with love and laughter; a little hard work to keep things even, and a chance to share a hug or two with those you love and like. Go...be good, be kind, be gentle, be a blessing today. Hugs to all.
