Sunday night
Prayer of Serenity
"God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; Courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know...the difference. I just received news of the passing of a neighbor and friend of many years when living in Brookings. Laverne was a good neighbor. She was a friend. She was caring and shared her friendship and time whenever she could. We shared a lot of time and life together as neighbors. She will be missed. I have many memories of our years as neighbors and friends. She loved sharing and caring and did a very good job of it. She is going to be missed. When you next go to church light a candle in honor of her good neighbor policies and the time and love she shared. I am smiling as I remember her coming in my door saying...."this is your nosy neighbor" and she was, the good kind.
Laverne will be missed so when you next stop by church light a candle in thanksgiving for the time you had to share. It is never easy to lose a neighbor and friend, or anyone you care about. We never know how much time we have to share so we need to put a little more time and effort into sharing and caring. Life is short at best, so make each day a day to remember with the love you feel for family and friends; neighbors are true friends once we let the guard down and become true neighbors.
So make an effort to be the best you can be. A good friend, a good neighbor, a good person who knows how to share. Be YOU and make the your world a happier place to be
Go....be the best you can be. Hugs to all.
